There has been a rapid growth of population in the urban centers of the State as in the other parts of the country and it has become of utmost importance to enhance the infrastructure facilities to meet the emerging challenges in urban management. In view of the above, the Rajasthan Urban Infrastructure Development Project (RUIDP) was taken by the Government of Rajasthan (GoR) as a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) with support from the Government of India (GoI) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in the year 1998.
